Emergency Information

Safety Information for our Community

Our Terminal is an Upper Tier COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) regulated site.  This set of regulations aim to prevent and limit the impacts of major accidents involving substances, such as LNG and liquid nitrogen, which our Terminal currently has on site.

South Hook LNG takes safety very seriously, including the safety of our people, our visitors, the environment and our neighbours.

The Terminal is built to the highest standards and it is operated by highly competent and well-trained staff.

In the unlikely event that a major incident occurs, a special Alarm, known as a COMAH Alarm, will be sounded which will be clearly heard outside the South Hook LNG site.

The South Hook LNG Terminal Public Information Zone (PIZ).

Our Safety Information booklet and Emergency Card explain the safety and environmental activities and processes we employ at South Hook LNG.
