Our commitment to Protecting the Environment

We take our environmental responsibilities extremely seriously. We carefully plan and manage operations on site to ensure they are conducted safely using the best available techniques (BAT).

We operate in accordance with a comprehensive Environmental Permit, closely regulated by Natural Resources Wales (NRW). We are also subject to the United Kingdom Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS), designed to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released into the environment by industry.

Working to reduce our Environmental Impact

We continually monitor our operations and any potential impact that we may have on our surrounding environment and community. We work with experts in the field to identify ways in which to mitigate any impact.

Unique Biodiversity

The rich marine life found within the Milford Haven Waterway is of international importance. Precaution is taken at all times to limit marine disturbance during the Terminal's operations.

Our Nature Conservation Area

A large section of our site is allocated as a Nature Conservation Area, forming part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Through close working with partners at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority (PCNPA), many exceptional habitats exist, supporting a wide range of diverse wildlife.
