As the Country celebrates National Volunteers’ Week, South Hook LNG is acknowledging the efforts of people across the business, whose Volunteering and Fundraising activities continue to bring huge benefit to communities throughout Pembrokeshire.
 
The Company has an active Participation Programme running throughout the year, giving financial reward to the organisations and charities supported by those working at the Terminal.
 
Mariam Dalziel, PR Manager South Hook LNG said, “Our Community Participation Programme has been very successful over the years and we are proud to be able to continue to acknowledge the many hours, dedicated to community ventures that are important to the people working at the Terminal.” Mariam continued, “National Volunteers’ Week recognises the invaluable work of volunteers, enabling many community groups and charities to function. Without volunteers, many critical services, such as community transport and wellbeing projects, would not survive.”

A range of Pembrokeshire organisations have recently received support from the Company as a direct result of the time and efforts given by members of the South Hook LNG team. Organisations include junior sections of local rugby, football and golf clubs, Wiseman’s Bridge Rowing Club, Pembrokeshire Yacht Club, Neptune’s Army of Rubbish Collectors (NARC), Haverfordwest Town Council and Cleddau Reach School PFA and Templeton School PTA. Cancer Research UK and Mind Pembrokeshire have also received financial boosts by way of the Company match-funding the monies raised through fundraising events.  
 
The South Hook LNG Community Participation Programme continues the support of its people in their volunteering and fundraising efforts, encouraging more people to become involved in supporting the community during National Volunteers’ Week.
